This is a 12\xe2\x80\x9316-month fixed term position.The successful applicant will support all work done for \xe2\x80\x93

• ore sample preparation
• grind time determination
• flotation
• data processing and reporting

Additionally, in this position you will:

• The health and safety of yourself and of your co-workers are paramount. You are responsible for following all company procedures and protocols.
• Support for the collection of chemical assays, metallurgical, and mineralogical data during work in the chemical assay labs, mineral separation labs, or mineralogy labs.
• Froth flotation testing to determine mill recovery from ores.
• Comminution testing to determine hardness and grindability of ore and host rocks.

About YouEducation:

• Currently working towards in diploma or degree in a science, engineering, technology, or related field.

• \xe2\x80\x8bPrefferebly in Mineral Engineering or Mining and Materails Engineering or Mineral Processing and Environmental Engineering.

Experience:

• Experience in an industrial environment would be considered an asset.

Skills:

• Follow Vale\xe2\x80\x99s Safety Policies, Programs and Legislative Standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
• Maintain a high level of professional conduct.
• Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
• Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to improve business outcomes while working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.

Requirements:

• Able to do moderately physical work including lifting to 15kg and standing for extended periods.
