Located right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, this firm focuses its expertise in areas such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Financing, Business Law, and Indigenous Law.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This role is a great opportunity for a driven individual with Legal Assistant experience to join a passionate leading firm. The firm offers an extremely generous hybrid schedule after the training period and focuses on promoting a positive work culture. They even have a dog-friendly office!

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Revising documents based on lawyer markups
  • Document formatting and assembly
  • Scanning/photocopying
  • Client intake assistance
  • Attending to ad hoc client requests
  • Scheduling, ordering couriers and arranging client gifts
  • Calendaring and maintaining a bring forward system
  • Filing documents in any court registry
  • Scheduling examinations for discovery, trials and hearings
  • Various admin support on business transactions, real estate transactions, and closing matters
  • Processing some routine corporate transactions
  • Obtaining registry searches, title searches, and other due diligence matters
  • Assist legal professionals with the creation, maintenance and, if applicable, publication of templates, blog posts, video content and other client service offerings
  • Any other general admin duties as required
THE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will bring the following competencies:
  • 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant
  • Legal Administrative Certificate
  • Ability to be proactive and take initiative
  • Detail orientated and organized
COMPENSATION
  • $40,000 to $55,000 per annum
