Our Timberlands Food Store in Red Deer is looking for a full-time Floater Meat Cutter to join our team. The position is based out of Timberlands food store and will involve floating to three other of our food store locations (Eckville, Lacombe and Innisfail) when needed.

Full-time: 40 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months.

Availability requirements: weekdays and weekends - mornings (6:00 AM start), afternoons and evenings (up to 9:30 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service and respond to questions,
• Cut, trim, and prepare all varieties and cuts of meat,
• Prepare special orders,
• Wrap and package meat,
• Accurately receive stock and inventory,
• Ensure a sanitary and safe work environment,
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills,
• Attention to detail and quality,
• Proper knife handling and use of other cutting equipment,
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
• Ability to work independently and in a team,
• Some heavy lifting is required (up to 50 lbs.),
• Comfortable working in a cold/refrigerated area,
• Must be over the age of 14 (Employment Standards requires a permit to employ a person age 14 or under; therefore, disclosure is required).
