Start Date: Immediately
Salary: $49,848.00/yr - $74,773.00/yr

What qualifications are we looking for?
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;
  • Experience analyzing company needs, lesson planning, development, and implementation;
  • Extensive knowledge in creating effective instructional materials;
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Human Resources field is preferred;
  • Instructional experience in a virtual setting;
  • Strong understanding of leadership concepts;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments;
  • Experience developing yearly training plans and materials for all departments throughout the company;
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously;
  • Experience in program and / or membership-related strategy design is considered an asset;
  • Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector search;
  • Three professional references.
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Execute the YMCA Calgary Youth Leadership Institute mandate focused on employee and volunteer youth aged 15-29 years old. This includes a partnership with post-secondary institutes, speaker’s series, learning maps and targeted leadership training;
  • Maintain and support the Learning Management System;
  • Organize meetings with management to ensure a detailed understanding of training needs and develop a plan to address them;
  • Collect information from senior management and other departments regarding how well employees retain information and use the concepts learned in training courses;
  • Administer tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training strategies;
  • Push the current and future training material to our virtual platform;
  • Create internal marketing materials to be distributed throughout the company to announce training programs and details.
