Job Summary

We are looking for highly energetic and responsible applicants for the position of part-time assistants who would be working with children in the age group of 4-17. This Kumon center is located in the New Westminster Sapperton area (next to Royal Columbian Hospital).

Job Type / Category

This is a part-time position, on a permanent basis. Before applying, please ensure you are available on Mondays and Thursdays. There will be a probationary period, before hiring is considered permanent. You will perform in many areas of the center, multi-tasking and inquisitive people desired.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Must be reliable, have strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy working with young people. Must be proficient in Math and English (at a senior high school level). Knowing Calculus is a requirement (baseline testing will be performed). Experience working with children or tutoring is a plus. MUST be available Mondays and Thursdays 3pm to 7pm. Being an ex-KUMON student or previous Kumon Assistant is a plus. If over 20, provide a Security Background Check upon successful hiring. Any successful candidate will be asked to do 4 trial shifts before any offer is made.

Pay: $18.75 per hour
