Kumon is the world's most successful after-school program, helping students build strong foundations in math and reading so they can become confident, independent learners.

Kumon Poco Hyde Creek

is seeking reliable, motivated, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Math and Reading Teaching Assistants. This is a long-term, part-time position.

Location:

3377 Coast Meridian Rd Unit 106, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 3N6

Must be available

Wednesday 3-7 pm

or

Thursday 3-7 pm

(do not apply if unavailable).

What We're Looking For

Applicants must have strong academic skills in both Math and English. Proficiency should be at least at the Grade 12 level (preferably up to Calculus in Math). Strong reading comprehension and writing skills in English are also required. An assessment test will be administered as part of the hiring process. Please do not apply if you are not confident at this level. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Responsible individuals, ideally university students or those seeking long-term commitment Experience with Kumon (as a student or employee) is an asset Enjoy working with children and helping them succeed academically

Responsibilities

Supervise, motivate, and interact with students during instruction Grade and record students' classwork and homework using answer books Assist students with corrections and explain new concepts using the Kumon Method Support students in developing strong study and work skills Communicate any concerns about student progress to the instructor

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour
