RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Qu\xc3\xa9bec - Sant\xc3\xa9 (FRQS).

Position summary
The RSN\'s mission is to act as a catalyst for the development of digital health research in Quebec, in order to guide an open, inclusive, trusted and sustainable digital health transformation. This mission is fundamentally transversal, and the RSN aspires to collaborate with all FRQS thematic networks, as well as with other health research networks in Quebec, Canada and internationally. The RSN\'s objectives are: (i) to consolidate the digital health research ecosystem, (ii) to network the digital health research environment, and (iii) to forge closer links with stakeholders, decision- makers and civil society.

We are seeking a Knowledge Translation Specialist, to work closely with the co-directors and administrative coordinator of the RSN on developing and implementing a knowledge transfer strategy focused on engaging a variety of stakeholders, e.g., governance committees, network members, partners. The scope of activities encompasses research projects and clinical programs linked with the RSN.

General Duties
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the research agenda and knowledge transfer activities in collaboration with PI and other researchers,
  • Conduct feasibility, impact, risk, and responsible approach assessment of knowledge transfer activities,
  • Plan and conduct knowledge transfer plans to inform, promote and engage a wide array of internal and external stakeholders and groups,
  • Participate in writing any scientific communications that may result,
  • Contribute to the writing of reports to stakeholders, and to grant writing,
  • Assist in the translation of scientific information for the purpose of promotional and educational knowledge transfer,
  • Manage the content of information about research program\xe2\x80\x99s activities appearing on website, social media, stories/articles, etc., are accurately translated to communicate complex scientific concepts to a general audience,
  • Develop and maintain web presence and social media feeds,
  • Monitor mentions, comments, discussions, and trends online, and advise on potential opportunities and risks,
  • Coordinate the organization of internal and external events to achieve knowledge translation and transfer goals,
  • Recruit and supervise junior staff according to program needs and mentor students in the area of knowledge transfer,
  • Use analytical data to refine social media content and increase reach and visibility.

Education / Experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master\'s Degree
Field of Study: related to information and knowledge management.

Work Experience: + 3 years related experience. Required Skills
  • Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges to achieve results with exceptional problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, changing, deadline-oriented environment,
  • Self-directed with an ability to organize, plan, prioritize and multi-task,
  • Knowledge of good research practice,
  • Maintains high standards for work areas and quality,
  • High-level communication skills both written and verbal in both English and French.
Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time
Pay Scale: $54,327.00 - $100,882.60 Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Mondays to Fridays
Work Site: 5252 boul. de Maisonneuve
