Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as needed.
Maintain and ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
In charge of inventory and ordering for the whole store, maintaining a relationship with suppliers.
Keep track of food cost and inventory prices keeping track of if they become higher or not
Monitor food cost or do food cost every couple of months if need be.
Potentionally handle cash and make regular deposits to the bank.
Be familiar with the pos system and be able to make changes to the menu or add new items if needed.
Work with accounting and scanning the invoices/documents into the accounting servers.
Other office/admin work if needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
Strong skills in meal preparation, including cooking techniques and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A passion for cooking and a desire to help create memorable dining experiences for guests.
