Summary



'Boxer Kitchen & Bar' is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team in delivering high-quality food and excellent service at our location in Canada. This role is vital in maintaining our standards of excellence and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.



Supervise and support all back-of-house staff during evening service.

Lead end-of-shift duties including kitchen shutdown, cleaning, and next-day prep organization.

Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and timing of dishes according to Boxer standards.

Communicate effectively with front-of-house leadership to maintain smooth service flow.

Promote a positive and professional team environment built on respect, accountability, and collaboration.

Monitor and assist with daily prep, inventory levels, and waste control.

Contribute to managing food and labor costs through smart scheduling and efficient prep practices.

Train and mentor junior cooks, ensuring adherence to recipes, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.

Handle shift logs, waste sheets, and communicate any operational issues to management.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience; previous supervisory experience is an asset.

Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.

Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including prep, line service, and closing procedures.

Basic knowledge of food and labor cost principles.

Basic butchery, baking, and pizza preparation experience strongly preferred.

Ability to lead by example and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Food Safe / ProServe certification

Schedule Flexibility is considered an asset and candidates will be prioritized.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
