The Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen within a restaurant environment. This position is responsible for overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. Duties

Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Train and mentor kitchen staff in food handling techniques, safety protocols, and best practices. Assist in interviewing and hiring new kitchen team members. Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of food handling practices. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with the staff. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
