We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Oversee food handling procedures to comply with health and safety regulations.
Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items while maintaining consistency in quality.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Utilize POS systems (such as Micros POS) for efficient order processing and cash handling.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new kitchen staff.
Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or concerns promptly.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food industry or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Proficiency in cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems is preferred.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and customers.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
