We are currently seeking a
Kitchen Supervisor / Assistant Cook
who will help lead our kitchen operations and ensure smooth service from the back of house.
The Kitchen Supervisor / Assistant Cook plays a key role in supporting the Head Cook and maintaining high standards in food preparation, hygiene, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of full meals and individual dishes
Supervise kitchen helpers and manage daily kitchen workflow
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in all food preparation areas
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
Help train new staff on food handling, safety procedures, and recipes
Maintain food quality and consistency across shifts
Report directly to the Head Cook or Branch Manager
Compensation and Benefits
Wage:
$32.60 per hour
Vacation:
Two (2) weeks of paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay
Overtime Pay:
As per Alberta Employment Standards

Qualifications
At least 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or supervisory kitchen role
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Secondary school completion preferred
Food Safe certification or equivalent is an asset
