We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and fostering a positive work environment for your team. Your leadership will be crucial in creating innovative menus and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This is a working position and the succesfull applicant will be cooking on the line to ensure Bennys standards are maintained.
Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
Develop and design creative menus that reflect current food trends while meeting customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food presentation, and sanitation procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health department standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food industry or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is highly desirable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and management.
