## Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager for a busy downtown restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and possess strong leadership skills to oversee kitchen operations effectively.
## Duties
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for kitchen operations
- Train and mentor kitchen employees on proper cooking techniques and procedures
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet company standards
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan menu items and specials
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding food quality or service
## Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including cooking, food preparation, and inventory management
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing
- Excellent customer service skills to address customer needs effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
