Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations within our establishment, whether it be in a hotel, restaurant, or other hospitality settings.

Duties

Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Knowledge of basic food handling and safety practices is an asset. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A passion for the hospitality industry and a willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and cooking techniques.
