Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support our culinary staff to ensure a smooth operation. This role is essential for maintaining food safety standards and providing high-quality service to our customers.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food handling and preparation. Support cooks and chefs during busy service periods by providing timely assistance with various tasks. Keep workstations clean and organized to promote efficiency in meal preparation. Participate in cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning tasks as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. A passion for the food industry and eagerness to learn about meal preparation techniques is highly valued.
