Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers.

Responsibilities

Assist cooks in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and preparing sauces. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support food handling processes by ensuring all food items are stored correctly and labeled according to food safety standards. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting low inventory levels. Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods is a plus. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed within the kitchen.
