The Kitchen Supervisor plays a critical role in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage kitchen staff effectively while maintaining a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the food industry, with a strong focus on cooking, meal preparation, and food safety.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and food service.
Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Coordinate with the culinary team to plan menus and prepare high-quality dishes.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Assist in cooking and food preparation when necessary to meet service demands.
Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Skills
Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, with a strong background in cooking and meal preparation.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers alike.
