Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in doing dishes, food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. This role is essential for providing high-quality meals and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and meals according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Support chefs and cooks during service by preparing stations and ensuring all necessary items are readily available. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in cleaning tasks at the end of shifts, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Basic knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. A willingness to take direction and learn from experienced kitchen staff.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.55-$18.00 per hour
