Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Duties

Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste. Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary tools and ingredients during meal preparation. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations for meal service.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills. Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.
