We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Kinesiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human movement and rehabilitation techniques, with the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting. This role involves understanding patients' physical abilities, developing personalized treatment plans, and utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance recovery and improve overall health. The Kinesiologist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate electronic medical records and ensuring effective communication with both patients and healthcare professionals.
Duties
Take subjective report pertaining to patients' physical capabilities and limitations.
Document individualized rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient's needs, using respective EMR, to maintain accurate records.
Implement treatment plans that may include exercise therapy, manual therapy, and education on injury prevention.
Utilize electronic medical records to document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment plans and progress.
Manage cases involving acute care situations, ensuring timely interventions.
Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure efficient patient care.
Guide and support patient mobility to respective treatment areas, position patients for treatments, take subjective reports, apply physical agents as indicated by therapist, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, clean, tidy and organize treatment rooms
Establish a semi-independent case load, with proper direction and supervision from therapist
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
Experience with electronic medical records systems is preferred.
Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting tasks.
Knowledge of case management principles, particularly in acute care settings.
Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients is an asset.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
