Key Account Manager, Oncology
Launch, promote and grow Bayer’s oncology portfolio in assigned territory. The Key Account Manager, Oncology will be responsible for achieving annual sales targets, successfully launching new drugs in assigned territory, working with key thought leaders and clinicians, conducting regional education programs, developing innovative stakeholder programs and be the primary point of contact to Bayer’s oncology customers for promoted oncology products.
This is a 12-month contract position and requires travel including but not limited to Southwestern Ontario – including the Hamilton Niagara region.
What you will do:

  • Analyze the business environment and develop territory business plans
  • Identify and develop strategy for key accounts and stakeholders in assigned territory
  • Establish superior business relationships with key oncology clients
  • Work closely with marketing, government affairs and medical affairs to deliver valuable institutional programs and projects
  • Assist customers with any support needed related to Bayer oncology products
  • Conduct regional CHE and other customer education programs

Who you are:

  • University degree: preference for Science, Health Care or Business degree
  • A minimum of 4 years specialty sales experience, two specifically in oncology
  • Possess a high level of therapeutic area knowledge
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to effectively convey clinical and scientific information
  • Strong key account management, project management, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong understanding of hospital matrix, politics and decision making processes
  • Superior competencies in relationship building, networking, problem solving, impact and influence
  • Outstanding presentation/public speaking and facilitation abilities
  • Excellent customer-service and teamwork orientation
  • PC and standard software literacy
  • Must be willing to travel throughout assigned territory and other areas as required
