Job Description

New Standard Ag, part of the AgriHub group of family companies, are the leading providers of hog, poultry, grain and milling equipment, and services in Manitoba. We are seeking a Key Accounts Manager to join our Winnipeg team!

This role is focused on growing our consumables business in non-ag sectors such as hospitality, microbreweries, processing plants, dealerships, construction and more. It blends business development with account management to build a strong, diversified customer base and expand our reach beyond agriculture. This is a role for a driven, passionate, and customer-focused professional who thrives in a team environment while also working independently. This role involves understanding client needs, developing strategic account plans, and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:



Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, serving as their primary point of contact.

Strategic Planning:

Create and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and foster long-term partnerships.

Customer Understanding:

Understand the needs, objectives, and challenges of key accounts, and develop customized solutions to address their requirements.

Internal Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and Procurement and Pricing to deliver value-added services and solutions.

Performance Monitoring:

Conduct regular meetings and communications with key accounts to review performance, address concerns, and identify opportunities for collaboration and expansion.

Negotiation:

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key accounts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and policies.

Market Analysis:

Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments related to key accounts, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Reporting:

Provide timely and accurate reporting on key account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to management and internal stakeholders.

Growth Opportunities:

Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the scope of services or products in non-ag sectors.

Conflict Resolution:

Resolve issues and conflicts with key accounts in a timely and effective manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Industry Engagement:

Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote the organization and build relationships with key stakeholders.
