We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and organized Kennel Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our dog boarding facility. The Kennel Manager will ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all canine guests and will lead a team of kennel attendants, and support staff. This role requires hands-on involvement with dogs, clients, and staff to maintain high standards of animal care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations:
Supervise daily kennel activities, including feeding, exercise, and playtime schedules, as well as cleaning and sanitizing routines.
Client Relations
: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and supervise staff, handling bookings, answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing tours of the facility.
Staff Management
: Recruit, train, and supervise kennel staff, and other team members. Ensure all team members follow proper handling, safety, and care protocols.
Inventory Management:
Order and maintain supplies such as food, bedding, cleaning products, and other essentials, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Facility Maintenance:
Ensure the kennel facility is kept clean, organized, and in good repair, coordinating maintenance needs as necessary.
Emergency Protocols:
Develop and enforce protocols for handling emergencies, such as animal health issues, severe weather, or facility incidents.
Marketing & Social Media:
Implement marketing campaigns to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Respond to comments, messages, and reviews to foster a positive online community.
Coordinate promotions and seasonal campaigns, such as holiday specials or discounts, in collaboration with the management team.
2 weekends a month for availability - 3-4 hours shifts
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a manager role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Physical ability to handle and care for dogs of all sizes, including walking, lifting, and restraining as needed.

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of kennel management software - Gingr
- Experience with dog training or behavior assessment
- Background in animal health or veterinary assistance
