We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team and support the daily operations of our animal care facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our animals while providing excellent customer service to pet owners. We are seeking a mature and physically fit person, someone that lives within fifteen minutes of our kennel ( Otter area of Langley, 248th St and 16th Ave. This is a fast paced job so requires someone that can multi-task. You must be extremely dependable, have your own reliable vehicle and have a flexible schedule. Someone that can make a long term commitment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Feed and provide fresh water to animals according to established schedules Assist with the bathing, grooming, and basic health checks of animals Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report concerns to management Provide friendly and professional customer service to pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and treatments Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements

Prior experience in customer service is preferred but not required; a friendly attitude and strong communication skills are essential Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including lifting supplies or animals as needed Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in animal welfare Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or varying shifts if necessary Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties throughout the shift

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week

Work Location: In person
