Position Overview
We're looking for an energetic, reliable
Kennel Attendant
to join our team part-time. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and enjoys working hands-on with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Shifts are primarilyweekends and evenings
, with potential forfull-time hours next summer
.Key Responsibilities
Feed and care for dogs in our boarding and daycare programs Clean and sanitize kennels, suites, and common areas Pick up waste and maintain yard cleanliness Supervise and play with dogs during group play sessions Bathe dogs and trim nails as needed Assist customers during check-ins and check-outs with friendly professionalism. Take simple photos of dogs for updates and social media Occasionally care for cats or small animals staying with us
Qualifications & Skills
Preference given to candidates with
relevant experience or animal care education
(e.g., animal welfare, veterinary assistant, or grooming background)Dependable
and able to work without constant supervisionComfortable handling dogs of all breeds and sizes
Able to performmoderate physical tasks
, including lifting, bending, and walking Strongattention to detail and cleanliness
Friendly and approachablecustomer service skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
