Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility, ensuring their well-being and comfort while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role requires a love for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

Duties

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, and exercising dogs and cats. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, and common spaces by regularly cleaning and disinfecting. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Assist with customer service tasks, including greeting pet owners and providing information about services offered. Support the team during busy periods by helping with heavy lifting of supplies and equipment as needed. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required for animal care and facility maintenance. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their welfare. Team player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
