What We Need
Corpay is looking to hire a Junior Trader within our hedging solutions group. This position falls under our Cross-Border line of business and will sit in our Toronto office. In this role, you will support the Director of Options Trading in servicing the sales and dealing teams while also learning the details of FX options hedging. You will regularly collaborate with the FX Trading and Trade Support teams with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of FX hedging products. You will report directly to the SVP of Markets Operations and regularly collaborate with Senior Traders, the Risk Management team, and the Treasury department.

Responsibilities
The Junior Trader supports senior traders in position management option pricing/booking and risk management. This role will give hands-on experience in executing a variety of FX transactions including Spot, Forward, and Options. Other responsibilities of the role will include:
Keeping track of economic news, market trends, and geopolitical events that may affect currency exchange rates, and writing morning commentary and market updates as they happen to be broadcast to the sales team.
Conducting in-depth technical and fundamental analysis to identify profitable trading opportunities. Use various tools and indicators to study price trends, support and resistance levels, and market volatility.
Buying and selling currencies using electronic trading platforms. Placing orders and executing trades based on market conditions, client instructions, and risk management strategies.
Implementing risk management techniques to protect against potential losses. Set stop-loss orders and take-profit targets to limit exposure. Monitoring and adjusting trading positions as market conditions change.
Creating and implementing trading strategies based on market analysis and risk appetite. Continuously evaluating and refining strategies to adapt to changing market conditions.
Tracking and analyzing trading performance metrics, such as profit and loss, and risk-reward ratio. Identifying areas for improvement and taking necessary actions to enhance profitability.
Being a backup for spot book as and when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
1 -2 years of relevant experience
Degree/Diploma in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
Fundamental understanding of Options Pricing Theory, Options Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, etc)
Proficiency in using trading platforms, analytical tools, and financial software.
A good foundation in computer programming
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced trading environment.

At Corpay it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. The estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is CAD $75,000-$85,000.
