We are a small, start-up structural engineering practice focused on delivering practical, efficient, and code-compliant solutions for civil and building projects. As a growing firm, we are looking to bring on a Junior Structural Engineer who is motivated, adaptable, and excited about helping build something from the ground up. Position Overview


We are seeking a motivated Junior Structural Engineer to support structural design, analysis, and project delivery across a range of civil and construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career engineer who wants broad exposure to real-world engineering, increased responsibility over time, and a clear path for professional growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal Engineer, gaining experience in design, drafting, site work, and client coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities



Assist with structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and wood elements in accordance with applicable codes and standards Prepare structural drawings, details, and models using CAD software (AutoCAD primarily) Support the development of design calculations, reports, and technical documentation Participate in site visits and construction meetings to observe progress and support design intent Assist with project coordination tasks, including document control, scheduling, and communication with clients, contractors, and municipalities Maintain organized and accurate records of drawings, calculations, and design revisions

Required Skills



Strong understanding of structural engineering fundamentals and basic design principles Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is an asset Familiarity with construction processes and civil/structural engineering standards Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Qualifications



Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from a CEAB-accredited university

1+ years of relevant experience

is an asset Knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), MTO, and municipal standards is considered an asset Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills Professional, discreet, and capable of handling confidential information Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
