Junior Structural Designer/ Drafter



Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd.'s ("KCB") Power and Transportation Group has an immediate opening for a Junior Structural Designer/ Drafter to join our Vancouver office. This role will work on heavy civil infrastructure projects, including Hydroelectric, Transportation, and Marine facilities. The successful candidate will work as part of a project team, and alongside accomplished managers, engineers, designers, and drafters.

You will have the opportunity to:

Be involved in all aspects of multidisciplinary design and drafting Create civil and/or structural layouts and conceptual plans Prepare detailed design drawings (civil, structural concrete, structural steel, and reinforcing steel detailing) Ensure compliance with KCB's Quality Management System (QMS) and our clients' quality standards

We value your:

Diploma of Civil/Structural Engineering, or Certificate of Structural Drafting from a recognized technical institution 2+ years' experience in Civil/Structural engineering design drafting High level of proficiency in the use of AutoCAD or Revit Proficiency with the use of external reference files and layer naming conventions Working understanding of survey and geomatics data Experience with hydroelectric facilities and/or BC Hydro CAD standards an asset Familiarity with GIS an asset Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

The salary for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
