We are currently seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team at our Saanich office. The successful candidate will be able to work under a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, working directly with clients and senior staff accountants to provide financial reports, personal tax returns and various government filings. Responsibilities



Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping for corporation and sole proprietorship clients; Preparation of government filings including GST, PST, and WorkSafeBC returns; Preparation of T4, T4A, T5 & T5018 slips; Preparation of T1 personal income tax returns; General administration tasks including answering phone calls, filing documents; taking payments from clients; greeting customers at the front desk

Requirements



Effective and outstanding communication skills Post-secondary education or one year work experience preferred, or combination of both Demonstrate workplace professionalism; ability to work well as part of a team but also work independently Demonstrate competency in full MS Office suite and Excel; specifically, databases and accounting software High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Quickbooks Online knowledge
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $45,000 to $52,000 annually

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Saturdays in March & April 10:00am to 2:00pm
