About Us Megan K. Barnes CPA Professional Corporation is a public firm that provides accounting and assurance services to clients in a wide variety of industries. We mainly work with small to medium sized owner-managed businesses, assisting with taxation and accounting needs. We have a handful of assurance clients that could provide a CPA Candidate with approximately 125 assurance hours a year. About the Position The Junior Staff Accountant assists the President & CEO and Senior Staff Accountant in completing bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, corporate, trust, HST and personal tax returns. Summary of Responsibilities
Bookkeeping of multiple client entities
Completion of Notice to Readers
Preparation of Tax returns - HST, T1 and T2
Understands technical standards with the expected level of assistance
Recognize relevant financial statement issues from basic analysis
Builds strong relationships with the clients
Summary of Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience in public accounting from a CPA approved firm
Requirements
College diploma or University degree
1 year Bookkeeping experience
Proficient in QuickBooks (desktop and online), Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe DS or Foxit Phantom PDF
Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients
Possess strong organization and file management skills
