Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and managing daily food service activities. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food handling and safety standards. Prepare high-quality dishes according to recipes and presentation standards. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations. Monitor food quality during preparation and service to maintain consistency. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Previous restaurant management or kitchen experience is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality and customer service. Familiarity with menu planning, cost control, and inventory management is an asset.
