JUNIOR
SOUS CHEF
to join our new & exciting team!
Reporting to the Owner, the
JUNIOR
SOUS CHEF
will be responsible for assisting in leading the entire kitchen operation, the team and maintaining food quality, consistency, inventory and cost. The ideal candidate would have been in similar role for at least 5 years and have 3 years of management experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
You will be responsible for efficient day to day operations, while abiding by health and safety standards.
- Assist in leading all back-of-house staff
- Execution of dishes according to recipes and specs
- Inventory control
- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment
- Creating and maintaining cleaning schedules
- Enforcing safety and sanitation policies
Maintain food quality and consistency with a keen eye for detail in regard to food presentation/placement
Attend meetings where required and communicate to all staff RE: policies and practices as they align with business practices
Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of secondary school is required
5+ years of experience in a similar position required
Food Handler's Certificate is required
Strong team work abilities
Proficient at financial responsibilities
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
Excellent leadership skills
Skilled in the culinary field
Must be willing to work flexible shifts
Positive mindset
Long periods of standing and walking is required
Repetitive use of hands, dexterity, bending down
