Junior Security Analyst LCM Security Oakville, Ontario LCM Security, Inc. was founded in 2001 to provide advanced network and security solutions that enable organizations to better leverage and control their investments in Internet and related Information Technology. Our focus is on methods and technologies that improve security, simplify compliance, and optimize performance. We have offices in Oakville, Ontario and Atlanta, Georgia and over 500 customers in Canada ranging from small retailers to Universities and Colleges. LCM is seeking a candidate to join our Network and Security team. Also, as part of the engineering team you will have the opportunity to participate and be trained in all our business practises: \xc2\xb7 Security monitoring, event analysis, and alert and incident response \xc2\xb7 Configuration and deployment of Fortinet network and security appliances \xc2\xb7 Vulnerability assessments Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Configure and Support Network security solutions (Fortinet products) \xc2\xb7 Review security-related events, assessing risk and validity, and reporting of findings \xc2\xb7 Ability to read and understand system data, including, but not limited to, security event logs, system logs, and firewall logs \xc2\xb7 Investigates, researches, and analyzes security incidents \xc2\xb7 Takes an active part in the resolution of incidents, even after they are escalated \xc2\xb7 Work closely with your team to exceed our client\'s expectations while identifying and mitigating business risks associated with projects. \xc2\xb7 Monitor and report based on client SLAs with an emphasis on quality and accuracy. Required Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate networking concepts to those with and without IT experience. \xc2\xb7 Strong, practical knowledge of networking. \xc2\xb7 Ability to analyze data (logs and packets captures) from various sources and draw meaningful conclusions. \xc2\xb7 Demonstrable ability to independently manage time \xc2\xb7 Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills. \xc2\xb7 Be a team player who can work effectively in all required situations. \xc2\xb7 A Bachelor\'s Degree / Diploma in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science, Information Security or Computer Engineering. \xc2\xb7 1+ years of work experience with in SOC \xc2\xb7 Direct prior experience with core security technologies such as security information and event monitoring systems (SIEM), network and host intrusion prevention and detection systems, proxies, vulnerability scanners, and anti-virus solutions \xc2\xb7 Analytical and investigative skills \xc2\xb7 On-call 7x24 rotation \xc2\xb7 Professional certifications in networking and security technologies are an asset. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Benefits:
