Job Description

As a Junior Scrum Master, you will play a key role in facilitating Agile processes and ensuring the smooth flow of development activities. You'll be working alongside the Product Owner, to prioritize tasks, address roadblocks, and promote communication between teams. A solid understanding of Agile frameworks, Jira, and a drive to help the team succeed will be crucial to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the facilitation of Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. Work closely with the Product Owner, to ensure backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and understood by the team. Identify and remove roadblocks or impediments that may be slowing down the team's progress. Lead and motivate teams, ensuring they are aligned with the goals and objectives of the sprint. Support the team in applying Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to achieve project goals efficiently. Analyze and provide insights into team performance, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. Maintain Jira boards and help the team stay on track with tasks, ensuring transparency and effective communication. Act as a liaison between technical developers and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication on progress, challenges, and requirements. Promote collaboration, accountability, and high-performance among the development team. Understand and manage priorities, ensuring the team is focused on delivering the most impactful work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban. Proficiency with Jira and other Agile tools for managing sprints, backlogs, and team collaboration. Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Excellent team-leading skills, with a proven ability to motivate and guide team members. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A go-getter attitude with the ability to drive projects forward and keep the team moving toward success. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address roadblocks and challenges as they arise. Bilingual (English and [Second Language] preferred) to effectively communicate with a diverse team.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile team environment. Basic understanding of software development processes and technical concepts to communicate effectively with developers. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting in Agile environments. Exposure to coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Any experience or knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is considered a strong asset.
