Job Summary:
You’re an analytical problem-solver. You embrace change and love to jump in and take ownership for delivering results for clients. As a Jr. Software Test Analyst, you will conduct software testing and quality evaluation of a broad variety of complex applications.
*Please note this is a temporary term role*
What you’ll be doing:
  • Primarily performing manual testing of support tickets and/or test cases.
  • Execution and reporting of results of pre-existing automation
  • Provide regular reports on the testing status of assigned products, detect potential delays at an early stage, and report to Team Lead or Manager.
  • Explain software testing results to product development teams and recommend next steps in relation to upcoming software releases.
  • Assist senior staff in reviewing/writing test cases and help with complex testing.
  • Learn and maintain current knowledge of Central 1’s family of products, application functionality; keep documentation updated.
  • Learn new technologies, techniques, and processes to contribute to the ongoing advancement of Central 1’s applications and services.

What you’ll have:
  • Post-secondary education relating to the IT industry or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with the development life cycle of Waterfall or AGILE methodologies.
  • Understanding of iOS or Android feature sets (e.g. Clearing cache, installation/removal of apps, Wi-Fi configurations, etc.)
  • Understanding of web browser features and/or familiarity with how websites function (e.g. Inspection tools, web elements, cookies, connected services, etc.)
  • Experience in thoroughly documenting tools, user guides, or processes - to be consumed by colleagues.
  • Experience using defect, project management, or similar reporting and tracking tools (preferably Jira and Confluence).
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands from multiple parties, ability to work on multiple projects in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with clients, technical teams, and other co-workers, work to schedules and adapt easily to changing priorities and business needs.

Nice to have:
  • General coding or scripting skills, experience with Selenium/Appium is a plus.
  • Experience with developing or testing Web and Mobile Applications (financial banking preferred)
