Junior Project Manager

Job Description


We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Project Manager to provide assistance to the Firm\'s Principal & Directors, as well as other members of the team, with a variety of ongoing public consultation projects. Our Real Estate Community Relations Firm runs as a team, with everyone expected to contribute by consensus to planning, strategy, and execution according to the needs of each client/project.

The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, is self-motivated and detail-oriented, shows initiative and has the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents. The candidate has proven capabilities in multi-tasking, maintaining effective working relationships, engaging others, negotiating, problem solving and strategic decision making. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear lines of communication with clients regards to the scope and estimated completion of projects, providing periodic updates as needed
  • Prepare all presentation materials, reports, and documents related to projects
  • Have an understanding of current regulations and approval procedures around zoning and municipal planning
  • Take minutes of client meetings and disseminate with key members of The Firm
  • Create consultation programs within the community
  • Oversee tasks delegated to internal staff, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Organize community events; open info sessions, workshops, hearings
  • Understand political leanings as they relate to community issues
  • Be a company presence at industry events and town meetings when needed
Qualifications:
  • Poli-Sci, PR, Communications, Urban development, or other related field at a Post Secondary level
  • Advanced interpersonal/relational skills
  • Minimum 2 years in Political Strategy, Real Estate Planning/Development, PR/Communications, or related field
  • Ability to foster relationships with utmost professionalism
  • Advanced organization and communication skills
  • Event planning experience from inception to completion
  • Prepping slide decks and other presentation materials with creativity
  • Proactive and resourceful, natural problem solver
  • Passionate about Real Estate and Community Development
  • Must hold a valid Drivers License
