Junior Piping Designer / Draftsperson

to support the piping design components of various projects. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to apply and grow their technical skills within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare piping drawings including PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans, equipment layouts, general arrangements, and isometric drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software. Develop piping deliverables such as but not limited to line designation tables (LDT), specialty item lists, pipe support details, and bills of material/material takeoffs. Collaborate and interface with other engineering and design disciplines. Execute both 2D and 3D CAD design tasks accurately and efficiently. Ensure all issued deliverables meet project and corporate quality standards. Support multiple project stages under the direction of a senior designer or project lead. Conduct field checks or site visits to support design development, as required.

Qualifications



Post-secondary diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering Design and Drafting Technology). Proficiency with one or more of the following: AutoPlant 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D and CADWorx 3D considered an asset. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities. Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and self-management. Effective team player with the ability to work collaboratively. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
