Atlantic Towing Limited is a well-established Marine Company with a diverse fleet of Harbour, Coastal/Deep Sea Tugs, as well as, Offshore Supply Vessels with locations in Saint John, New Brunswick, Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John\'s, Newfoundland.

Qualifications:

• Education Required: Bachelor\'s Degree
• Years of Experience Required:

2years experience * Training, Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency
• Dynamic Positioning Induction
• Marine Emergency Duties
• Transport Canada Marine Medical
• Marine First Aid
• H2S Alive
• WHMIS
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate (TDG)
• Vessel Personnel with Security Responsibilities
• Passenger Safety Management Training

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and efficient navigational watch in accordance with international regulations, Master\xe2\x80\x99s Standing Orders and company procedures and policies and maintain the Deck and Radio Logbooks.
• Care, inspection and maintenance of all lifesaving and firefighting appliances (i.e. Lifejackets, Survival Suits, GMDSS Radios, EPIRBs, SARTS, Life Rafts, Rescue Boats, Fast Rescue Crafts, Line\xe2\x80\x93throwing appliances, Rocket/Parachute Flares, Smoke Floats, Fireman\xe2\x80\x99s Outfits, EEBDs, Fire Extinguishers, Fixed Firefighting Systems, etc.).
• Verify that the vessel\xe2\x80\x99s firefighting and Lifesaving Appliances Plans are posted in proper areas and maintained current.
• Maintain the SOLAS Training and Firefighting Manuals up\xe2\x80\x93to\xe2\x80\x93date.
• Record safety meeting minutes and submit meeting reports to the Master for review.
• Prepare Emergency Drill Reports.
• Contribute to ATL\xe2\x80\x99s Safety culture by:
• Understand and comply with various safety processes within the Safety Management System
• Possess the skills to perform job related tasks and apply safe practices while performing physical tasks.
• Have a thorough understanding of precautions and procedures related to the Safety Management System
• Have thorough understanding of pollution regulations and the company\xe2\x80\x99s objectives regarding environmental protection.
