The Junior Process Metallurgist is responsible for the design and implementation of projects and supervision of technicians involved.
Specific Responsibilities
Design and implement test programs for clients which includes the following:
Design of experiment to meet requirements of proposed program
Analysis of data and determination of direction of testing program based upon results
Communicate data to senior personnel
Upon completion of the program, analyze and present the data in a format suitable for presentation to client in a final report
Prepare technical reports for projects
Conduct, supervise and report bench scale and pilot plant test work for metallurgical projects
Conduct test work in laboratory setting
Collaborate with senior personnel regarding ongoing test programs
Requirements
The ideal candidate to possess:
Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical or Mineral Processing degree (or equivalent) required;
2-3 years of laboratory and operations experience in process plants and testwork services related to mining and metallurgy;
Experience with simulation software such as METSIM an asset;
Professional Engineer designation or potential for registration;

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
