Diamond and Diamond Lawyers LLP is looking for a customer service focused Junior Lawyer that is as passionate about real estate as we are, to work with us in our Vancouver location! Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 You must be a current member of the British Columbia Bar. \xc2\xb7 Membership in the Law Society of British Columbia. \xc2\xb7 Must have at least 1 year of experience in the field. \xc2\xb7 Previous customer service experience is an asset, and a strong skill set is required. You must have a passion for this above everything else! \xc2\xb7 Strong computer skills. No specific software requirements, as Diamond and Diamond Lawyers builds most of its own tools, but in order to learn quickly, familiarity with modern software patterns and an openness to learning a new method is essential. Duties and Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Monitor legal risk in real estate documentation and advise clients accordingly. \xc2\xb7 Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions. \xc2\xb7 Draft and negotiate real estate transactions. \xc2\xb7 Draft routine leases and amendments. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before real estate transactions are executed. \xc2\xb7 Manage regulatory and compliance-related services. \xc2\xb7 Represent the company in purchases and sales of properties. \xc2\xb7 Support legal and general advisory needs associated with a large-scale real estate portfolio.
