SCHOOL OVERVIEW

The Laurel School is a boutique early learning private school located in North York, ON, dedicated to providing enriched individualized programs for children from Toddler to Grade 3. Our mission is to create a strong foundation for each child's unique learning journey in a nurturing and supportive environment.

SUMMARY OF ROLE

We are seeking a Junior Kindergarten Lead teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Your contributions will support our mission of fostering academic excellence and individual achievement in a nurturing environment.

Fixed term contract from September 2025 to June 2026 (with the opportunity for renewal for future school years as well as opportunities for positions in the summer)

PAY

Base pay amount will be dependent on the applicant's years of experience.*

DETAILS

40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, scheduled within the times of 7:30am - 6:00pm extra hours required for events such as Curriculum Night, Parent-Teacher Meetings, PA days, Awards Ceremony, Staff Meetings and more More details available at hiring.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (related to education, arts etc), RECE and/or Montessori Certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C) Have a clear police reference check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

Minimum 2 years experience within a teaching classroom setting

Familiar teaching and planning academics and/or program planning is an asset
