We are seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with foundational IT knowledge who are eager to develop their skills in a professional environment. The successful candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and assist in maintaining our IT infrastructure across various platforms. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a broad range of IT systems and tools, including Windows, macOS, Linux, and network administration.
Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to incoming support calls and support email
Log and manage tickets in the support system
Provide Level 1 technical support for users (PCs, email, access issues)
Escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians
Communicate clearly with clients and internal staff
Maintain accurate documentation and notes on tickets
Assist with basic system checks and daily operational tasks
Provide technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone, or in-person interactions.
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS
Assist with computer management tasks including hardware setup, upgrades, and maintenance.
Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP configurations on SonicWall and Ubiquiti devices.
Manage Active Directory accounts and permissions.
Support computer hardware components and peripherals such as mobile devices and printers.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure including servers.
Collaborate with team members on projects involving network administration, system updates, and security enhancements.
Experience
Recent graduates with a degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Prior internship or hands-on experience in IT support is a plus but not required; training will be provided for all necessary tools and systems.
Familiarity with operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11), macOS, Linux.
Basic understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN configurations.
Knowledge of remote support tools such as Helpdesk Tools and various monitoring tools.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
