Job Description

Junior Interior Designer / CAD Technician (Contract Position)

Location:

Vancouver, BC

Contract Term:

Hourly contract with potential for full-time

Experience Level:

Entry (2+ years)

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Interior Designer / CAD Technician to join us on a contract basis. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone with a strong foundation in design, a love of furniture and materials, and a flair for both creativity and detail. You'll work directly under the Principal and collaborate with architects and consultants to support the development of curated, furniture-led spaces.

This is not a traditional interior design position--you'll be focused on layouts, sourcing, material palettes, and supporting documentation rather than full interior design packages.

What You'll Do

Produce 2D furniture layouts, elevations, and technical CAD drawings Assist in developing FF&E packages for multi-family, mission-driven, institutional, and educational projects Create and support finish palettes and mood boards with a keen eye for colour, texture, and composition Organize and track samples, specs, quotes, and vendor information using spreadsheets and internal systems Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and consultants to ensure cohesive execution Help prepare presentation materials and visual decks for internal and client use

Who You Are

2+ years of relevant experience Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, SketchUp, or rendering software is an asset Highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident working with spreadsheets and documentation Strong design sensibility with a natural talent for furniture, styling, and materiality Equally comfortable working on technical drawings and creative concept boards Kind, curious, collaborative, and self-motivated Excited to work in a small, growing firm where your input and initiative will be valued

Why Work With Us?

We're a new company--but we're not new to the field. With years of experience in project management and space curation, we've launched this firm to focus on what we're passionate about: creating thoughtful, furniture-forward environments that are functional, beautiful, and built with care. You'll be joining at an exciting time, with the opportunity to shape your role, contribute meaningfully, and grow with us as we take on a wide range of clients and projects. We pride ourselves on being efficient, creative, kind, and fun--and we're looking for someone who shares those values.
