Get Security Ltd (get-security.ca) is an electronic security company servicing Manitoba. Head office based in Thompson, servicing Northern Manitoba Clients, and Winnipeg sub-office servicing Winnipeg and Southern Manitoba regions.

We provide premium security solutions such smart home security systems, commercial alarm, network and IP camera solutions, access control, and low voltage automation solutions.

As a junior alarm technician-installer you would be learning to install and service security products such as residential and commercial alarm systems, network and IP cameras, access control, and some network infrastructure using the latest technologies. In addition to installing and servicing technology-based products, the apprentice is also responsible for updating records and service tickets, communicating effectively with clients, and providing any client training and recommendations as needed. Maintaining a positive relationship with clients, keeping client confidentiality, and quality of work are essential to the position.

The successful applicant will be required to perform physical duties such as working on a ladder, use a variety of basic hand tools, and be able to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Extensive training is provided on both equipment and services through on-line learning set up with our manufacturer and service provider partners. Successful candidate will be expected to complete on-going training as new products and services are launched. Additionally, hands-on training will occur while working with the lead technicians.

Applicants should have good communications skills, be punctual, and take pride in their work. Must be physically fit and able to work with hand tools and on ladders in a safe but expedient manner. Valid drivers license is required. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and/or bondable.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent position. Occasional overtime and evening/weekend work. Part-time applicants will be considered.

Location: Thompson, MB. Some travel will be required in Northern Manitoba region. Applicants currently living outside of Canada will not be considered.
