EDUCATION:

A degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution** or an acceptable combination of education, training, and work experience.

  • The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in all stages of graphic design from initiation and planning to conception and completion, to deliver communications products for both print and digital media. These products may include, but are not limited to, illustrations, publication layouts, graphics, motion pictures, animation, and infographics.
  • Experience in providing advice and creative guidance on visual communications products to clients.
  • Experience in operating Apple computers using graphic design and desktop publishing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat DC) and other multimedia software within the Government of Canada or in a sizeable business environment.

ABILITIES:

  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud software (such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Adobe After Effects and Premiere) to produce precise communication products such as graphics and multimedia presentations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
