Reporting to the chief operating officer, the incumbent manages all activities related to the estimation of costs and manufacturing time of the products contracted by the company: in this case, evaluating the equipment, hardware, estimating the steps and production time of each part.

Duties

Analyze customer requests about the level of feasibility of the contracted job and consult the production to ensure the conformity of the bid; If applicable, submit the requested job and make sure to assign it to the person in charge; Create the "job" in the master file (enter the customer's name, contact and reference number) ; Analyze, compile and estimate all the necessary aspects for the completion of a project: the materials required, the hardware, the treatment and the procedure to be followed, the steps, the production time and the method according to the equipment available; Work closely with other departments: purchasing, programming, planning, quality, production and methods ; Read and interpret drawings using CATIA v5 software ; Appropriate to himself the documents indicating the manufacturing instructions sent by customers ; Collaborate with the various departments throughout production, including follow-ups and meetings related to large-scale projects ; Send final quotes to clients by email and follow up with them afterwards ; Perform part of the training on the systems operated as part of the duties of the methods officers, engineers or other resources.

Education Requirements

DEC in Mechanical Engineering ; Or DEP in industrial design ; Any relevant training may be considered ; 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

Ability to carry out follow-ups and controls ; Ability to influence ; Ability to read plans and drawings ; Analytical skills ; Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines ; Bilingualism ; Knowledge of Catia v5 software (an asset) ; Knowledge of ERP systems ; Knowledge of computer software.
