Who we are:

Pro-Can Construction Group is a medium sized boutique General Contractor that specializes in projects in the $5-40M range. We have been servicing the Lower Mainland for 40 years with our team centrally located in Burnaby, BC. Our project expertise includes Institutional Buildings, Multi-Family Housing Complexes, and Industrial Centres.

The Opportunity:

Pro-Can is looking for a new team member to help our estimating team and provide business development support. There is opportunity for both full time and part time employment.

The Role:

Responsibilities range between working with the pre-construction team and providing business development support. Duties will include, but not limited to, the following:

Estimation:

Analyze drawings and specifications Assist in preparing clear and detailed take offs Assist the Chief Estimator in assembling accurate, detailed, and well-organized proposals Maintain database costs and pricing Manage bidder software Assist PM team with budgeting during preconstruction

Business Development:

Assist in preparing Qualification Statements and RFQs Lead generation management Managing website updates and Social Media Accounts

Skills and Experience:

Mandatory:

Graduating from a recognized engineering, architectural, or construction management program Strong experience and knowledge of reading drawings and specifications Exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage time and adapt to priorities Ability to work independently, but still a team player

Nice to have:

Minimum 1 year experience working in the construction field in a similar or related position Estimator experience with costs and pricing Ability to use Revit or CAD programs

Compensation:

Training for the position is included, the amount of training required will dictate the starting rate.

$40,000 - $65,000/annually Extended Medical Basic & Major Dental Coverage 80% Vision 100% Prescriptions 80% 2-week paid vacation

Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Experience:

Commercial construction: 1 year (recommended)

Pay: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
