Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in (responsibilities):

  • Work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary project team to complete projects incorporating biophysical surveys, environmental assessments/permitting, contaminated sites investigation and remediation
  • Participate in field programs evaluating the natural environment for a range of private and public clients
  • Assist with data compilation, analysis, and evaluation using the application of scientific principles and problem solving skills
  • Prepare technical documents, including draft work plans, reports, and biological/chemical datasets
  • Prepare project support documents, including health and safety plans
  • Coordinating internal GHD environmental disciplines and external sub-consultants
  • Assist with contract administration and cost control
  • Research, review and understand provincial and federal acts, and regulations
Report Writing:
  • Responsible for creating draft reports to be reviewed by supervisor or project manager
  • Responsible for creating charts and figures for review by project manager
  • Assist in the preparation of project related datasets, specifically biophysical and chemical
  • Assisting Project Manager with proposal writing
Project Management:
  • Assist the Project Manager on projects including coordination of field activities, manage field personnel, analytical set up and working with subcontractors
  • Coordination of technical resources and personnel including drafting, database, chemistry, and staff through project duration
  • Assist with special projects as needed
What will you bring to the team:
  • Bachelor\'s degree (or higher) in Environmental Engineering, Science or similar.
  • 0-2 years of environmental science or biophysical experience and open to recent grads
  • Strong technical writing, data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Willing to travel for work and able to conduct fieldwork
  • Previous experience in biophysical surveys and contamination assessment and remediation is an asset
  • Previous field experience is an asset
  • Must hold a valid Driver\'s license
